Nottingham Hotels

This town has remained a star after being made famous by the legend of Robin Hood (Lord Loxley) and his band of merry men. They were driven to thieve from the shameful Sheriff of Nottingham to survive. They got so good at it ended up being able to refund taxes to the people that lived here about while they lived and roamed the nearby Sherwood Forest. Hurray! Thanks goodness thought, the only thing this city will steal from you today is your heart.

Sight To See - Things To Do

Set in both the centre of Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands, there's an endless amount to do, experience and learn from here. The legend of England's number one outlaw and his merry men is, of course, never far away and inspires many of the star attractions in and around the city. One such destination is The Tales of Robin Hood. This critically acclaimed, action-packed adventure experience transports you back to medieval England. It was at this point in history, circa 1261 and on, where the famed men did battle with the Sheriff of Nottingham in an old-fashioned struggle of good and evil. To get a feel of the place and its legends you can have a go at archery, learn all about the history and even enjoy an olde world banquet.

Sherwood Forest itself is close by and its historical connections form only part of its appeal. With stunning country trails to follow and rare wildlife to look out for its a must for the family.

The city even has attractions underneath its streets. The City of Caves is based in tunnels originally dug by the Anglo-Saxons. It gets the balance of entertainment and education just right throughout its magical sunken world that will thrill and amaze everyone.

There really is so much in this fascinating city it's impossible to list it all; the best way to experience these attractions and many others is go, and live it your own way - this is the land of adventures after all.

Transport to the city is made easy by great road access from the M1, A1, A46, A52, terrific rail links and two county airports.
