Attractions - Sights To See

Both The Wolds and The Fens (in South East Lincolnshire) are great places for long rewarding walks, spotting rare wildlife and taking in the fresh air. Along the coast there are miles upon miles of unspoilt beaches with numerous awards to their names.

Also fascinating old port towns such as Grimsby, that harbour the region's rich history with a number of museums. More links to the past can be seen throughout the county, with great architecture and remnants from Roman, Saxon and Norman rule. Star attractions include Belvoir, Bolinbrooke and Tattershall Castles. Also the stunning redbrick Doddington Hall and the amazing and intricate Burghley House. All of these are guaranteed to wow their visitors.

Away from all the history you can find great shopping experiences with the countywide markets and varied shopping centres like those in Spalding, Grimsby and the capital: Lincoln. If you're into sports then there's a choice of 42 golf courses dotted around the county and fine horse racing on show at Market Rasen. Whatever you want to do you'll find it can be done in Lincolnshire.
