Overview

Good sized rooms at very small prices are what we offer here. So if you are looking for somewhere to stay while you go with the kids to the zoo this is the right choice.

Getting into the city from here is simple. There are 2 regular bus services to run you into Princes Street that run from just outside. You can also get to Murrayfield Stadium from us using public transport quite easily.

This is the perfect hotel for golfing holidays. There are actually 5, yes thats correct, 5 golf courses within a 3 mile radius of us. They are Royal Burgess Golfing Society's course, Turnhouse gold course, Silverknowes, Ravelston and Murrayfield golf courses. So as long as you have booked a round in any of these in advance you wont find anywhere better to stay for it.

The fabulous views from our bar and restaurant mean you can enjoy a relaxing meal and drink with those extra pleasures you desire while doing so. Our fitness club mean you can relax with a swim or sauna if that is your thing as well. A 17 metre heated swimming pool is alway a pleasant addition to any accommodation. The air conditioned gym with professionally trained instructors will mean you can go for your routine with a good guidance. We are also the perfect place for your business conference with 10 room with up to 320 capacity.

Paul‘s Rating: 4.6/5
Paul travelling as: Mature couple

Overall: Excellent for our requirements - no complaints.

Bad Stuff: Non-digital TV; quality of breakfast raw materials a little below par (eg bread, marmalade, juice).

Good Stuff: Comfort; washing etc facilities;helpfulness of staff. Free dinner offer very good.

Overall: The hotel was as I expected, I have visited a lot of hotels in Britain & Europe. mostly work related. the location suited my visit and Ifound no real reason to complain. The staff were very helpful with my questions on local transport and attractions.

Bad Stuff: no actual dislikes but bottled drinking water would have been appreciated, as would a mini bar which I would of expected in a superior room.

Good Stuff: the location was as I had expected and friendly helpful staff when needed were informative.

Alford‘s Rating: 4.7/5
Alford travelling as: Mature couple

Overall: The location to the hotel was perfect for sightseeing. It was only a short 10 min drive to the Royal Mile. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wether you're in town for one night or seven nights I recommend this as THE place to stay

Bad Stuff: Don't change a thing!!!

Good Stuff: The rooms were large (we had a doubble) and the furnishings were nicely kept. The hotel overall was super and more than we expected. I know for a fact that next year we will be using this as our base of operations in touring Edinburgh and the surounding area.

Overall: all aspects of the stay at this hotel were excellent from the check in staff with readily available knowledge of an excellent breakfast to the time of booking out. Access to the city itself was easily achieved with the very good help of the taxi service. Unfortunately due to time pressure the leisure facilities had to be missed but we will hopefully be back again for the festival and would readily use this hotel again.

Bad Stuff: n/a

Good Stuff: room and bathroom sizes
