Overview

We are located on the north bank of the river that run through Edinburgh, the Water of Leith in the exclusive West End.

We are close by Prince Street and thus there is easy access to the main railway station. We are also within a short walk of Haymarket. To get us from the centre is simple use the concise directions below.

Start from the West end of Princes Street. Make sure you are on the right hand side of the street, when you are facing away from Prince Street. Cross over Lothian Road and continue onto Shandwick Place for 0.4 miles. This road turns into Atholl Place for a short while at the end. Take a right turn into Palmerston Road and continue up here for 0.2 miles and its name will change into Douglas Gardens. At the top turn left into Belford Road, cross over the river and watch out for us on the left hand side.

Within a few minutes walk you will find many of the major tourist attractions in the city.

Having undergone a massive refurbishment program the Britannia has re-affirmed its place among the best of the best in the Scottish capital.

We have a large car park and underground parking for all of our staying guests.

Overall: We had a brilliant stay here and considering we chose the hotel the night before it was a very good choice, although the traffic was a bit noisy it died down towards the end of the night. The evening meal was very nice and the service in general was perfect.

Bad Stuff: tidy elegant room quite spacious with a smart en suite.

Good Stuff: Excellent room and facilities
