Overview

We are a friendly, small establishment that caters just for you. Our compact rooms have been designed with you in mind all the way. Up to date and antique modern furnishings give you a taste of the new and the old in the one space. Good sized decent beds give you the quality of sleep you would expect at a highly rated establishment.

Comfortable and clean en-suite and standard rooms with shared facilities mean a price that you can afford. A full and hearty or light traditional breakfast is available here. It has been called "superb" by many of our previous guests. Freshly cooked local produce and a pleasant atmosphere all throughout your morning meal makes it just that.

Giving you a truly personal service at this small establishment is something we pride ourselves on. For you that means staff are welcoming and cordial without being too informal.

If you have special dietary needs staying here is a good choice. Please do not hesitate to ask in advance of your stay here about your specific requirements.

We are located within a 5 minute walk of Royal Victoria Park. This is worthy of note especially for those families that enjoy some open space to picnic in. With over 50 acres of green parkland there is sure to be something here that everyone you are with will enjoy. That is unless you are with a bunch of Goths. They will not enjoy anything. This is is the way of a Goth.

Overall: A good hotel for couples or for those who are looking for peace and quiet. It's extremely close to town without all the noise, and was very clean. I would recomend eating breakfast out as it would be cheaper.

Bad Stuff: The breakfast was expensive and should have been included in the price rather than extra

Good Stuff: A great location - 5 minutes walk to town and Royal Crescent. Extremely clean with a great bath

Bad Stuff: Could do with modernising for the price they charge.

Good Stuff: Convenient location for our visiting our daughter. Very friendly landlady.

Overall: We had expected a bit higher standard but it was true to its category. Breakfast was excellent. The doors could perhaps be a bit sound-proofed; when people came to their rooms nearby it was as if they were in our room, but once inside we couldn't hear a thing.

Bad Stuff: More towel rods and a rod in the shower for safety, and bath soap, but in general it was very good value for the money, considering that we were in Bath.

Good Stuff: The proprietors were extremely hospitable; when they saw that my sister-in-law and I had difficulty climbing the 3 flights of stairs to our original room they changed us to a family room on the ground floor with no change of price.

Overall: Very friendly staff, kindly waited up late for our arrival, gave us info on local attractions. Excellent breakfast - more than expected. Excellent location to local sights.

Bad Stuff: not a lot of room for suitcases, but manageable.

Good Stuff: Convenient, reasonable price, friendly staff.
